OREANDA-NEWS. During the protests in Kyrgyzstan, 911 people were injured, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the republic reported.

Over the past day, 169 people have applied to medical institutions. More than 200 people were hospitalized with various injuries, 5 of them are in intensive care. One person died.

On October 4, parliamentary elections were held in Kyrgyzstan. According to the preliminary results, two pro-government parties and two centrist parties entered the Supreme Council. The rest did not overcome the 7 % barrier and reported of numerous violations. Their supporters took to the streets.

On Tuesday night, protesters broke into the White House building, where the parliament and the administration of the president are located; then they moved towards the State Committee for National Security and freed ex-president Almazbek Atambayev and a number of his associates from custody. The demonstrators elected a new mayor of Bishkek and announced intention to appoint the prime minister.

The Central Election Commission declared the election results invalid. The prime minister, speaker of parliament, governors of four regions, mayor of Bishkek and a number of other officials resigned.
