OREANDA-NEWS. At a meeting on January 28, the Committee on the Honouring of Obligations and Commitments by Member States of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) supported the report on the credentials of the Russian delegation, which recommended ratifying them in full.

This was reported by the head of the Russian delegation, Vice Speaker of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy. “The resolution was supported, the amendments of Gale [British parliamentarian Roger Gale. – Ed.]  were rejected by a majority vote,” Tolstoy said. He clarified that this is a confirmation of authorities without any exemptions.

A day earlier, Tolstoy announced that Russian delegates would leave the PACE session, which will be held in Strasbourg on January 27–31, if Moscow’s powers are limited.
