OREANDA-NEWS. Palestine recalled its ambassador from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) because of the peace agreement that Abu Dhabi signed with Israel with the participation of the United States. This was reported by the Palestinian news agency WAFA. The order was given by the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas.

The Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) criticized the UAE's reconciliation with Israel. Hamas representative told reporters that the agreement does not provide legitimacy to the “Zionist occupation of the Palestinian land.” “The occupation remains the main enemy of the Palestinian people, and we will continue the struggle,” he said. Fatah stated that the UAE “tramples down its national, religious and humanitarian obligations” towards Palestine.
