OREANDA-NEWS. After the speech of US President Donald Trump with the annual address on the situation in the country, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tore up her copy of his speech.

During Trump’s address, Pelosi together with Vice President Mike Pence sat behind the head of the White House. When the President finished, everyone stood up and began to applaud. At that moment Pelosi tore her copy of the speech in half and threw the papers aside.

Before the start of the event, when Trump was walking up the rostrum, he refused to shake Pelosi’s hand. He gave her and Pence folders with documents.

Answering a question from Fox News reporter about why she ripped up the sheets, Pelosi replied that it was made “because it was the courteous thing to do considering the alternatives.”
