OREANDA-NEWSA spokesman for Russian President Dmitry Peskov did not rule out that Russian leader Vladimir Putin, who is leaving for Hungary on Wednesday, will discuss the situation in Ukraine with Prime Minister Viktor Orban. "It’s not about discussing the government of Ukraine, new or old, the government of the country is the sovereign affair of each of the parties", a Kremlin spokesman told reporters on Wednesday.

"Another thing is that, of course, there are topics that are equally of concern to the Hungarians and to us", Peskov noted. He specified that he had in mind "the theme of minorities in neighboring regions". “Hungary has repeatedly spoken about its rejection of the processes that are taking place there”, he recalled.

According to Peskov, "therefore, it can't be ruled out that somehow these topics related to Ukraine will be addressed". Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyyarto earlier confirmed to the Russian media the preparations for Putin’s visit in late October this year.
