OREANDA-NEWS. Poland needs to prepare for the third wave of coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said during a speech in the national parliament.

“Today we are dealing with a very dangerous phenomenon, with the second wave, and it should be said here also that perhaps we are threatened by a third wave, because we are dependent on whether a drug or a vaccine for COVID-19 is invented,” the politician explained.

According to the head of the government, Poland’s strategy is to build social and economic life in such a way as to “be able to study, work, live, not close the economy and at the same time cut the transmission path of COVID-19.”

Recently, a sharp increase in the incidence of coronavirus infection and the number of deaths from it was registered in Poland. The number of infected people has exceeded 200 thousand, and over the last 24 hours a record of 10,040 new cases was detected.
