OREANDA-NEWS. The United States will continue to impose costs for Russia, including through sanctions, until Moscow fulfills the Minsk agreements and ends its occupation of Crimea. This was announced by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo during a telephone conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

The American politician said that Washington highly praised Kiev’s diplomacy in the context of the “continuing aggressive behavior” of Moscow. The Secretary of State reaffirmed support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. In addition, Pompeo condemned “Russia’s and its proxies’ efforts to exploit the COVID-19 pandemic” by spreading false information, restricting the movement of observers of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe and obstructing the work of humanitarian organizations in the Donbass.
