OREANDA-NEWS. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reported that the American Navy had detained over 350 Iranian missiles and other weapons components that were destined for the members of the Houthi movement in Yemen.

"The U.S. Navy interdicted 358 missiles Iranian-made missiles + other weapons components on their way to the Houthis in Yemen,” the politician wrote on his Twitter page and posted a photograph of the missiles. “This is another example of the world’s largest state sponsor of terror the Islamic Republic of Iran continuing to defy the UN Security Council,” he added. According the Secretary of State, the world community “must reject Iran’s violence and act now to renew the expiring UN arms embargo on Iran.”

Earlier on the same day, US Central Command reported that on February 9 the Navy ship detained a vessel with Iranian anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles in the Arabian Sea.
