OREANDA-NEWS. The armed conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh can be resolved in one of two ways, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated in his address to the nation broadcasted by TV channels.

“My position is known to my people. This problem should be resolved either by military means or by peaceful means,” the politician said. According to the President, for a peaceful solution to the conflict, Armenia should withdraw from the occupied territories. “We need a specific schedule of how many days Armenia needs to withdraw its troops,” Aliyev explained, adding that Yerevan intends to use the ceasefire to mobilize its forces and arm them.

The head of state said that Baku is tired of negotiations on the disputed territories. “We are fed up with these negotiations. How long can we negotiate?” he said. According to him, the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe has been engaged in “freezing the conflict” for 30 years, but as soon as Azerbaijan began to “liberate its lands,” pressure began to be put on the country.
