OREANDA-NEWS. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Poland. The Ukrainian leader is going to take part in the celebration of the 230th anniversary of the Constitution of the state, according to his website. In addition, the politician is going to talk with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda, as well as the heads of other countries.

He also issued a joint declaration with Kersti Kaljulaid (Estonia), Egils Levits (Latvia) and Gitanas Nauseda (Lithuania). The text notes the importance of the adoption of the Constitution of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1791, which was the second case of the entry into force of the Basic Law in the world.

«We express our confidence, that the success of our common heritage and common home,<...>, requires that Europe, like the home, be built on fundamental values and principles. These undoubtedly include: freedom, sovereignty, territorial integrity, democracy, the rule of law, equality and solidarity. A Europe, that unites should be open to all countries and peoples, that share such values», the politicians said.

The last time Zelensky has traveled to Poland was in January 2020.
