OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with his Finnish counterpart Sauli Niinisto, during which the politicians discussed the fight against coronavirus infection’s spread.

This is stated in a message published on May 27 on the Kremlin website. “The useful cooperation between the relevant departments of Russia and Finland on the issues of counteracting coronavirus infection was noted,” the report reads.

The parties also touched upon the development of Russian–Finnish relations, the state of affairs in trade and economic cooperation, the implementation of joint investment projects and exchanged views on the international and regional agenda, including issues related to the Arctic region. “It was agreed to continue contacts at various levels,” the Kremlin representatives resumed.
