OREANDA-NEWS. Today, started talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan began in the Kremlin. The meeting will take place in the framework  the eighth of the Russian-Turkish Cooperation Council.

The heads of state will discuss relations between the countries, the creation of the Akku nuclear power plant and the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, as well as deliveries to Russia.

Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergey Shoigu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Energy Alexander Novak attended the meeting with the Russian side.

The Turkish side was represented by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Fatih Donmez, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Mulut Chavushoglu, the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar, the Minister of Trade Ruhsar Pekjan, the head of Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak

In the framework of the eighth meeting of the Russian-Turkish Council, issues of a Syrian settlement will be discussed. Before the meeting, the Turkish president wanted to discuss with Vladimir Putin a new Turkish military operation in Syria.
The meeting of the two presidents will take started first and privated. Then they meeting with all forum members. In the end Putin and Erdogan held a joint meet with leading Russian and Turkish companies.
