OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin introduced to the State Duma the candidacy of the head of the Federal Tax Service, Mikhail Mishustin, for the post of prime minister after meeting with him. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.

“After obtaining his consent, he submitted Mishustin’s candidacy for the post of prime minister for consideration by the State Duma,” the statement says.

Anastasia Kashevarova, the Adviser of State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, wrote in her Telegram channel that Mishustin came to the national parliament for an extraordinary meeting of the Council of the lower house. The State Duma press service clarifies that an extraordinary meeting is being held by Volodin, and leaders of all factions are present at it. The leader of the political party Just Russia, Sergey Mironov, told RIA Novosti news agency that all factions of the Duma would meet with Mishustin on January 16.
