OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Public Opinion Research Center recorded an increase in the rating of the activities of President Vladimir Putin among citizens after his address to the Federal Assembly.

This was reported by the head of the Center, Valery Fyodorov. “Data for the 16th: 67 % of respondents approved Putin’s work as president. A day earlier, the figure was 64 %,” he said.

During a speech in the Federal Assembly on January 15, Putin proposed a package of constitutional amendments. Among them are the approval of the prime minister and members of the government by the national parliament, the strengthening of the roles of the Constitutional Court, the State Council of Russia and governors. For each of the initiatives, Putin suggested holding all-Russian voting in order to amend the country’s Constitution.
