OREANDA-NEWS. Oleksiy Honcharenko, a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine from the party European Solidarity, reported on Telegram that the Minister of Health Ilya Emets resigns.
Later, the parliamentarian, citing a source in the Ministry of Health and the faction of the party Servant of the People, said that Emets could not organize a work of the agency and “could not prepare a real plan to counter the coronavirus.” “Therefore, a decision was made on the resignation. Now final coordination is underway,” Honcharenko explained.
At the same time, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health Artyom Dekhtyarenko said that the agency continues to work in a strengthened mode and nothing changes. “The Ministry and the Minister are responsible only for their own actions. We continue to work in an enhanced mode 24/7, as we did before, nothing changes,” he said.
