OREANDA-NEWS. The West supports the sabotage of the Minsk agreements, which is a key challenge to security in the OSCE area. This was stated at a meeting of the UN Security Council by the first deputy ambassador of Russia to the organization Dmitry Polyansky.

Before that, a number of representatives of Western states in the UN Security Council once again accused Russia of "occupying" Crimea and supporting the conflict in the eastern part of Ukraine.

The Russian diplomat said that "in connection with the statements made today by a number of our Western colleagues containing a false interpretation of the situation around the settlement of the internal Ukrainian conflict, I would like to emphasize that it is their actions to support the destructive steps of the Kiev authorities aimed at sabotaging the Minsk agreements that are key today. a challenge to security in the OSCE area ".

Dmytro Polyansky called on "Western sponsors to work with their wards so that instead of distorting reality and conducting political provocations, they finally tackle real problems and try to establish a dialogue with residents of eastern Ukraine, as provided for in the Minsk agreements."

Also, the Russian politician asked Western diplomats to refrain from accusations, "look at themselves in the mirror" and stop turning a blind eye to "flagrant violations of human rights, freedom of speech and the media, as well as cases of glorification of Nazi criminals and their accomplices, which have become a daily reality, not only in Ukraine, but also in the Baltic countries, in particular in Estonia ".
