OREANDA-NEWS. The ceasefire agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh is not fully respected, the hostilities continue. This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, during a meeting in Moscow with his Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan.

“We see that while this agreement is not fully observed and the hostilities continue. We expect that the contacts in which we both and our Azerbaijani colleagues… will make it possible to ensure the full implementation of the agreements that were agreed upon in a trilateral format,” Lavrov said.

Mnatsakanyan informed that Azerbaijan does not comply with the ceasefire. According to him, it is necessary to introduce verification mechanisms for observing the truce in Nagorno-Karabakh.

On October 9, after negotiations held in Moscow at the initiative of the Russian side, Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed on a ceasefire from 12:00 local time (08:00 UTC) on October 10 to exchange captives and bodies of the dead.
