OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow can react to the development of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, and it can be done “through a landing operation” within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. This opinion was expressed by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, Konstantin Zatulin.

According to the politician, Russia should understand that this conflict is not just the struggle with the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, but “an attempt to establish a new order in Transcaucasia, in which Turkey is the master of destinies.”

Zatulin stressed that Russia must prove that it is the leading country in the post-Soviet territory. At the same time, the parliamentarian admitted that he does not know exactly in what form this can be done. He added that, if necessary, Moscow should explain to Georgia “that the necessary forces and means will be sent through its airspace to Armenia.”
