OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) sometimes makes “clearly unlawful decisions”, and it is unacceptable for Russia.

At a meeting with a working group for preparation of amendments to the Constitution, the thesis about the need for a constitutional legal assessment of the possibility of fulfilling a number of international legal obligations in Russia was discussed.

“I agree that someone is always tempted to control Russia from outside. We are facing with this, I am observing it myself. Sometimes the European Court (we execute all its decisions), unfortunately, makes clearly unlawful decisions. It is unacceptable,” Putin said.

The President added that when “different interpretations are imposed from the outside… it seems a bit steep.”
