According to results of the survey conducted by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center, by March 3, citizens’ awareness of the upcoming vote on constitutional amendments rose to 83 %. Thus, since February 12, the share of those who know about the voting scheduled for April 22 increased by 5 %.

The study also demonstrated that 67 % of respondents plan to vote, and 41 % reported that they would definitely vote. However, 17 % of Russians have not yet made a final decision.

According to sociologists, 55 % of citizens plan to cast their vote for amendments to the Russian Constitution proposed by President Vladimir Putin. Since February 12, this figure has grown by 12 %.

On March 4, the State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation approved 45 and rejected 42 amendments to the bill on changing the Constitution.
