OREANDA-NEWS. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden is ahead of incumbent American leader Donald Trump in important states: Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona and Wisconsin. This was reported on November 1 by The New York Times.

The publication calls the mentioned states key for the voting results, since usually the candidates from competing parties have approximately equal chances there.

A poll conducted by the newspaper together with Siena College from October 26 to 31 found the largest lead in Wisconsin: Biden gained 52 %, Trump 41 %. The Democratic nominee was ahead of his rival by 3 % in Florida, 47 % versus 44 %. In Pennsylvania and Arizona there was the same ratio of votes, 49 % versus 43 %. The study involved 1.4 thousand respondents from Florida, 1.8 thousand from Pennsylvania, 1.2 thousand from Wisconsin and 1.2 thousand from Arizona.

Before that, Fox News published the results of a national poll, according to which Trump reduced the gap with Biden by 2 %. The current US leader was supported by 44 % of the respondents, and his rival by 52 %.
