Svetlana Tikhanovskaya has been Put on the Wanted List in Belarus
OREANDA-NEWS. The Investigative Committee handed over the documents for the extradition of the opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya to the Prosecutor General's Office. The agency today, on March 2, reported that the investigation of the criminal case against four trusted persons of Tikhanovskaya was completed. The person in question is not specified in the message. These circumstances became known during the investigation of the criminal case against Sergei Tikhanovsky and were separated into separate proceedings.
«Law enforcement officers received information, that persons from the inner circle of Svetlana Tikhanovskaya are preparing for mass riots and the seizure of government buildings in Homel. To implement the plan, the latter sought out applicants from former military personnel, employees of the internal affairs bodies and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. In order to study and plan their actions in detail, the accused organized a meeting on August 5, which was attended, among other things, by Tikhanovskaya herself», the report says.
The agency publishes the video: «According to the conclusion of the phonoscopic examination, the voices on the video belong to the accused, the ex-candidate and her proxies».
The main defendants were detained from 6 to 8 August 2020. They were charged under Part 1 of Article 13, part 2 of Article 293 (Preparation for mass riots) and Part 1 of Article 13, part 1 of Article 292 (Preparation for the seizure of buildings and structures) of the Criminal Code of Belarus. All are in custody. The criminal investigation has been completed. The materials were handed over to the prosecutor for referral to the court.
