OREANDA-NEWS.Many governments of the Council of Europe support the adoption of a draft resolution that will allow Russia to participate in the June session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

On June 24, the Assembly is scheduled to consider the draft report of the Belgian parliamentarian Petra de Sutter, in which it is proposed to give delegations not previously represented, including Russia, the authority to participate in the PACE session.

Many governments (countries of the Council of Europe) are in favor of the adoption of the report de Sutter, so that delegations that are not yet represented in the Assembly (including Russia), could submit credentials next Tuesday, after the report will be adopted on Monday.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel macron urged not to allow Russia to leave the Council of Europe.
