OREANDA-NEWS. Negotiations of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky are possible only if the Minsk Agreements are fulfilled, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said.

“There were no negotiations and I think they would be premature. Taking into account the fact that now we have the only platform where negotiations need to be held – this is the Minsk platform. The grounds should be prepared there. After that, perhaps some kind of dialogue is possible. Now it is superfluous,” Pushilin explained.

As the head of the DPR noted, Kiev has adopted about 60 normative legal acts in six years that contradict the Minsk Agreements and the norms of international law. “They are trying to follow the path so that Donbass does not have any illusions about living in a single political space,” he said.

Pushilin said that the lack of political action on the part of Ukraine leads to the death of DPR servicemen as a result of violations of additional measures to control the ceasefire in Donbass. According to him, the DPR has lost seven soldiers since July 27. He stated that Ukraine violates the ceasefire every day.
