OREANDA-NEWS. The head of the Prague 6 District, Ondrej Kolar, on whose initiative a monument to the Soviet Marshal Konev was dismantled in the Czech capital, complained of Russia’s actions to the head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen.

In a letter, Kolar declared that the monument is the property of the municipality which can dispose of it in accordance with Czech laws. The official called the reaction of Russia inappropriate interference in the internal affairs of Prague 6, the whole city of Prague, and the whole Czech Republic.

Kolar recalled that Russia accused Western countries of falsification and rewriting of history. According to him, Moscow wages a “hybrid warfare” against the European Union.

In conclusion, he asked the EC head to take decisive measures so that Russia can be clearly told that such behavior is unacceptable.
