OREANDA-NEWS. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, said that the Russian side is limited in its ability to investigate the incident with opposition politician Aleksey Navalny.

During the conversation with reporters, Peskov was asked if the Kremlin agree with the words of State Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, claiming that foreign special services were behind the incident with Navalny. “Here we cannot declare either our agreement or disagreement with him. Questions in this situation are becoming much more numerous than answers,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

“Unfortunately, we are very limited in our ability to actually carry out some kind of investigation into this matter,” he added. As Peskov explained, “it turned out that some items… were eliminated, taken away from Russia, there is no way to get acquainted with the test results, and so on.” “This all complicates the investigation,” he resumed.

On September 17, a statement appeared on Navalny’s Instagram account, saying that the Novichok agent, with which he was allegedly poisoned, was found on bottles from a room in Xander Hotel in the city of Tomsk.
