OREANDA-NEWS. European Solidarity, the party of the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, commented on an audio recording of a conversation allegedly between its leader and former US Vice President Joe Biden, calling it “Russian provocation, which has nothing to do with reality.” This material was made public by the Ukrainian non-factional parliamentarian Andriy Derkach.

Audio recordings of 2015 and 2016 fix telephone conversations during which Poroshenko, Biden and former US Secretary of State John Kerry discuss Ukraine’s domestic policy. They mention a bribe of 1 billion dollars offered by the American side and connected with the activities of Joe Biden’s son Hunter. In another recording, Kerry calls on Poroshenko to dismiss Viktor Shokin, who was then the Prosecutor General of Ukraine. Biden advises speeding up the nationalization of Privatbank until Donald Trump takes over as US President. Poroshenko reports on increasing tariffs for the population of Ukraine.

Derkach considers that the published records provide grounds for accusing Poroshenko of high treason.

European Solidarity claims that the goal of the “Russian provocation” is to undermine “the bipartisan support of Ukraine from the United States.” According to the Poroshenko’s party, the published fragments were fabricated to artificially involve Kiev in the US election campaign.
