OREANDA-NEWS. The Sejm of Poland adopted a resolution according to which the Soviet Union, equally with the Third Reich, is to blame for starting the Second World War.

“The Sejm of the Republic of Poland condemns the provocative and false statements of representatives of the supreme authorities of the Russian Federation, who are trying to lay responsible for starting the Second World War on Poland,” the document says.

Deputies of the lower house of Polish parliament also pointed out that “the greatness of a nation and relations between countries cannot be built on lies and falsifications of history.” They emphasize Russia denies that " the two totalitarian powers of that time: Nazi Germany and Stalin’s Soviet Union, led to the outbreak the Second World War II”. According to the Sejm resolution, Moscow signed the “shameful” Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, due to which Poland was one of the first to suffer during the war.
