OREANDA-NEWS. After the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan, the Islamic radical movement «Taliban», which seized power in the country, declared it's desire for good relations with the United States. «We want good relations with the United States and with the whole world. We welcome good diplomatic relations with everyone», «Taliban» spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said in a speech on the runway at Kabul Airport on Tuesday, August 31.

Mujahid congratulated all Afghans on the victory. «We congratulate Afghanistan, this victory belongs to all of us», he said a few hours after the last American servicemen left the country shortly before midnight. The US Army on the night of August 31 completed an operation in Afghanistan that lasted 20 years. The last American military plane took off from the Kabul airport, thus completing the evacuation mission from Afghanistan.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken allowed cooperation with the Islamic radical movement «if it adheres to it's obligations» to ensure freedom of movement, respect for the rights of all Afghans and the formation of an inclusive government. Blinken said this on Monday, August 30, at a briefing in Washington.

Blinken also said that the United States is moving it's diplomatic mission from Afghanistan to the capital of Qatar, Doha. «As of today, we have suspended our diplomatic presence in Kabul. We will use the office in Doha to conduct diplomatic work with Afghanistan», he explained.
