OREANDA-NEWS.Russia is to blame for most of the failures in us-Russian relations. It invaded Georgia in 2008 and Ukraine in 2014, it intervened in the 2016 presidential elections in the United States, it continues to interfere in Venezuela, Syria, Libya and so on.

With the arrival of the new President, the trump Administration tried to undertake its own "reset" of relations with Russia, but could not move far, as the number of scandals and investigations related to Russia increased rapidly. Sanctions have become not only an instrument of American policy towards Russia, but also a substitute for it.

It seems that the only correct solution now is to recognize that the existing contradictions may not be solvable, but they should nevertheless be addressed. And on many issues, we just have to accept the fact that the US and Russia will always have differences in these areas. And we can live with these differences, we can agree to them.
