OREANDA-NEWS. US President Donald Trump suggested that a trade agreement with the European Union may be concluded before the presidential election in the United States.

During the press conference broadcasted by CBS News from the World Economic Forum in Davos, the politician noted, however, that he would prefer to wait until he finishes resolving of the same issue with China before starting work with the EU. At the same time, the US President added that dealing with the European Union is much more difficult than with China, and negotiations on an agreement will be more complicated in many aspects.

Earlier, Trump announced that he intends to discuss a trade deal with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Davos.
