OREANDA-NEWS. Hackers attacked the website of the campaign of US President Donald Trump, headquarters’ representative Tim Murtaugh reported.

“Earlier this evening, the Trump campaign website was defaced and we are working with law enforcement authorities to investigate the source of the attack. There was no exposure to sensitive data because none of it is actually stored on the site. The website has been restored,” the message posted on Twitter reads.

On October 22, it was reported that Dutch hacker Viktor Gevers gained access to Trump’s Twitter account. Gevers was able to read the private messages of the American President, leave notes on his behalf and change account information. As proof, the hacker provided the media with screenshots.

In July, offenders hacked the Twitter page of former US Vice President Joe Biden, who became the nominee for the presidential election from the Democratic Party.
