OREANDA-NEWS. The leader of the Belarusian opposition, former presidential candidate Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya announced three demands to the Belarusian authorities led by President Alexander Lukashenko. Minsk has 13 days to complete them, the politician’s message posted on her Telegram channel says. The demands are called “the People’s Ultimatum.”

The requirements are formulated as follows: Lukashenko must announce his resignation; street violence must stop completely; all political prisoners must be released.

As Tsikhanouskaya explained, if the mentioned requirements are not met, then “the whole country will peacefully take to the streets with the People’s Ultimatum.” According to the oppositionist, in this case, on October 26 a strike of enterprises, blocking of roads and “a collapse of sales in state stores” will start.

Tsikhanouskaya added that the authorities have 13 days to fulfil three conditions. “We have 13 days to prepare, and all this time Belarusians will continue peaceful persistent protest,” she wrote.
