OREANDA-NEWS. Members of the Presidium of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljko Komsic and Shefik Jaferovic, refused to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who is in the country on a working visit.

During a joint statement to the media, Komsic and Jaferovic said that their decision was related to the statements made by the Russian Minister on the Dayton Agreement on Monday, which run counter to Bosnia and Herzegovina’s position.

Lavrov's meeting with three Presidium members: Komsic, Jaferovich and Milorad Dodik, was scheduled for Tuesday morning. Only Dodik came to it.

Komsic and Jaferovic explained at a special press conference that the reason for their refusal to meet with the Russian Foreign Minister was “Sergey Lavrov’s support for the resolution of the parliament of the Republika Srpska on the military neutrality of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” which blocks its entry into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
