OREANDA-NEWS. Ukraine will boycott an informal meeting of the United Nations Security Council with the participation of representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba.

“The meeting will be boycotted not only by Ukraine, but also by the USA, the United Kingdom, France, the Federal Republic of Germany, Estonia and Belgium, that is all, except for Russia, the participating states of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe that are members of the Security Council today,” Kuleba said. According to the politician, due to the principled position of the Ukrainian partners in the UN Security Council, the meeting will not be broadcast on the official resources of the organization.

The day before, a source of the news agency RIA Novosti in the UN Security Council reported that on December 2, the Council would hold an informal meeting dedicated to the implementation of the Minsk Agreements on Donbass republics.
