OREANDA-NEWS. The cabinet of ministers of Ukraine withdrew from three more agreements concluded within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The decision was made at a government meeting on September 2. Kiev denounced the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Veterinary Medicine, which was signed on March 12, 1993. In addition, Ukraine withdrew from the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Sanitary Protection of the Territories of the CIS Member States of May 31, 2001 and the Agreement on the Establishment of a Coordination Council on Plant Quarantine of the CIS Member States of May 30, 2012.

In August, the Ukrainian government decided to denounce seven international treaties concluded within the CIS from 1993 to 2001.

Before that, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Vasyl Bodnar, announced plans to continue denouncing agreements with the Russian Federation. According to him, a total of 453 agreements were concluded between the countries; about 300 of them remained in force by 2020.
