OREANDA-NEWS. The Ukrainian delegation does not intend to cooperate with representatives of Russia during their participation in a work of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

This was stated by a member of the delegation Yelizaveta Yasko. “We have no plans for any cooperation with the Russian delegation,” she said in an interview with the newspaper Novoye Vremya published on January 21. In addition, Yasko emphasized that the delegation should not “be on friendly terms” with Russia and “forget who is the aggressor.” “It is necessary to talk with Russia only within the framework of international law,” the politician resumed.

On January 16, the Verkhovna Rada approved the return of the Ukrainian delegation to work at the annual session of PACE in 2020. The initiative was supported by 348 deputies with the required minimum of 226 votes.
