OREANDA-NEWS. Interfax-Ukraine news agency reports, citing the press service of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, that the head of state appealed to the Chinese government with a request to provide Ukraine with additional assistance to combat the coronavirus infection.

During a meeting with Fan Xianrong, Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine, Zelensky asked Beijing for test systems, medical equipment and drugs. The President thanked Chinese diplomat for the help already received. On March 23, an aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine delivered to Kiev a batch of medical tests from the city of Guangzhou.

Zelensky also noted that Ukraine is interested in studying the Chinese experience in combating coronavirus and exchanging information with experts from the PRC.
