OREANDA-NEWS. US President Donald Trump, basing on intelligence reports, admitted that the information about the collusion of Russia with the Taliban, Islamic fundamentalist political movement and military organization in Afghanistan, is fake.

“Intel just reported to me that they did not find this info credible, and therefore did not report it to me or VP [Vice President Mike Pence. – Ed.]. Possibly another fabricated Russia Hoax, maybe by the Fake News nytimesbooks [The New York Times. – Ed.], wanting to make Republicans look bad!!!,” the American leader wrote on Twitter.

On June 26, The New York Times, citing anonymous representatives of the US intelligence agencies, published an article claiming that Russian military intelligence offered rewards to Taliban-related militants for attacks on American soldiers in Afghanistan. No evidence was provided.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called the publication false. Later, a rebuttal came from the Taliban.
