OREANDA-NEWS. US vice president-elect Kamala Harris accused outgoing President Donald Trump of abuse of power. She stated this during a rally in Savannah, Georgia State, where she campaigned to vote for Democratic senators.

Harris recalled the recorded conversation, presumably, between Trump and the Secretary of State of Georgia, during which the American leader asked to recount the votes of presidential election in his favour. The recording of this conversation was published by The Washington Post. Harris called this an act of despair and abuse of power by the President of the United States.

On November 3, presidential election was held in the USA, and the entire House of Representatives and a third of the members of the Senate were re-elected. Democratic candidate Joe Biden won the presidential race.

Trump has repeatedly stated that the election was held with numerous violations. The current head of state and his team have repeatedly pushed for a recount of votes in key states, including Georgia.
