OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin flew to Marseille, from where he would go on negotiations with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. The meeting will be held at the summer residence of the French leaders - Fort Bregancon

The plane of the Russian president landed in Marseille. After that, Putin will travel by helicopter on the coast of Provence to the Var department, where Macron's residence is located

According to Yuri Ushakov, Putin’s assistant for international affairs, the two presidents are discussing issues not only of bilateral relations, but also of relations between Russia and Europe as a whole. Also, Putin and Macron will discuss the situation in Libya, Syria, Ukraine and Iran. 

The meeting of the two presidents will be held five days before the G7 summit. The Chair of the G7 is now France.
