OREANDA-NEWS. Reuters information agency reports that Ukrainian presidential aide Andriy Yermak promised to build a wall on the border with the Donbass if Russia does not agree to a ceasefire and exchange of prisoners at the summit in the “Normandy format” in Paris.

“In this case (If we fail to reach an agreement with Russia. – Ed.) we will be building a wall and life will go on,” the politician said at a forum in London. Не added that Ukraine “will be living unfortunately in a scenario of a frozen conflict.”

According to Yermak, the Minsk agreements on the Donbass are outdated and requiring reconsideration.

The meeting of the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany in the “Normandy format” will be held on December 9. The main topic of discussion will be the resolution of the situation in the Donbass, including the special status of the region, without which elections cannot be held there, and its reintegration with territories controlled by Kiev.

On December 3, it became known that the Office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky prepared five scenarios for the retrieving the Donbass territories. However, the contents of those scenarios were not disclosed.

Later, Ukrainian officials talked about the details of the document, which will be announced at the end of the summit in Paris. According to the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Vadym Prystayko, it contains very cautious formulations that establish what has already been achieved: separation of troops on the contact line and exchange of prisoners. It was noted that there were no fundamental changes to the Minsk agreements in that document.
