OREANDA-NEWS. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he is considering several candidates to replace Leonid Kuchma, who has ceased to be the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass.

Kuchma left the delegation of his own free will. The reason is old age (82 years).

Zelensky clarified that among those people whom he considers to replace Kuchma is Leonid Kravchuk, the first president of Ukraine.

The current head of state explained the possible choice by the fact that Kravchuk is an extremely experienced politician, not left or right, but a centrist. According to Zelensky, such a person should dominate during the negotiating.

At present, the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group is headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Oleksiy Reznikov.
