OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to send payments to victims of forest fires promptly and without "bureaucracy". During a meeting with the participation of the heads of regions, the Russian leader noted the importance of financial support that must be provided to fire victims, TASS writes. Putin emphasized that some of these people were literally "left without a roof over their heads."

Payments are extremely important, especially for people who found themselves without everything and lost both movable and immovable property, were left without a roof over their heads. It is necessary to organize these payments, and this must be done fairly quickly, and excessive administrative bureaucracy should be avoided,” Putin said.

In addition, the head of state instructed to help victims of natural fires with obtaining consumer loans and take additional measures to combat fires. The President also called for organizing summer vacations for children from families that have suffered damage from natural disasters.

Earlier, Roman Vetchinnikov, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, said that the death toll from the fires that engulfed the region had increased to seven people. The department clarified that only on May 7, 273 fires occurred in the region, 518 residential buildings and 309 buildings were destroyed by fire.

The situation with forest fires in the Siberian Federal District worsened due to holidays, Acting Head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Chupriyan said during a meeting in Krasnoyarsk. According to him, 273 fires occurred simultaneously during the day, to which local garrisons responded.
