OREANDA-NEWSRussian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Indonesian President Joko Vidodo on the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. The telegram was published on Monday at the Kremlin website.

“This anniversary date is marked by significant successes in the development of Russian-Indonesian ties. Bilateral political dialogue, mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and other fields are expanding”, Putin said. “Coordination of efforts within the UN and others gives good returns multilateral structures".

“I’m sure that we will be able to further build up the whole range of relations between Russia and Indonesia and bring them to the level of strategic partnership. This, undoubtedly, meets the fundamental interests of our peoples, goes in the direction of consolidating peace, security and stability in the Asia-Pacific region”, added the head of state.

The President noted that he expects to meet with the Indonesian leader in Moscow and St. Petersburg, wished him good health, and the citizens of Indonesia - well-being and prosperity.
