OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin wished Joe Biden health, who earlier spoke very insultingly about him.

"In childhood, when we argued with each other in the yard, we said: whoever calls his name is called that," Putin added.

The President noted that in the history of each nation "there are many dramatic and bloody events."

The President of Russia said: "But when we evaluate other people, or when we evaluate even other states, other peoples, we always seem to look as if in a mirror. We always see ourselves there."

Earlier Joe Biden said that Vladimir Putin "will stand by Russia's interference in the American elections." Also the media state that US president, while talking to an ABC reporter, called the Russian head of the state a "killer". But it is not still clear what he really meant by saying it. White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki refused to explain Joe Biden's words about Vladimir Putin, and to make clear if they were some kind of metaphor.

The Foreign Ministry understood these offensive words as a sign of manifestation and consequence of the purposeful policy of Washington, which "for two years deliberately led" Russian-American relations to a sticking point. After US president's statements, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov was invited to Russia's capital for a consultation. The department stressed that Russia wants to avoid "irreversible degradation" of bilateral relations.

Konstantin Kosachev, the vice-speaker of the Federation Council, pointed out that the expectations from the new administration os the US president "have been written off by this boorish statement." The senator admitted that Moscow will react with other actions if Washington does not apologize.
