OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian government approved the decision to establish a road checkpoint Kani-Kurgan (Amur region) - Heihe (China), according to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"It is planned to establish an automobile checkpoint Kani-Kurgan-Heihe on the Russian-Chinese state border in the Amur region. The opening of this checkpoint is provided within the framework of the national project "international cooperation and export", - noted in government materials.

The signed decree of the government of the Russian Federation approved the proposal to conclude an Agreement between the governments of the two countries on amendments to the Agreement on checkpoints on the Russian-Chinese state border of January 27, 1994.

The Kani-Kurgan checkpoint is included in the list of priority export-oriented checkpoints located in the far East, the construction and reconstruction of which is expected under the national project "international cooperation and export".

It is planned that the capacity of Kani-Kurgan will be 630 trucks, 164 buses, 68 cars and about 5.5 thousand people per day. The commissioning period will be synchronized with the completion date of the Blagoveshchensk - Heihe border bridge by 2020. The mode of operation of the checkpoint will be around the clock.

"The opening of the Kani-Kurgan checkpoint will contribute to the development of international cooperation and trade between Russia and China," the Russian Cabinet believes.

In August 2018, in the city of Manzhouli / Manchuria / Mongolia Autonomous region, bordering the TRANS-Baikal territory of Russia, officially earned a point of international postal exchange. The point carries out direct exchange of international mail with postal services of Russia and more than ten foreign countries
