"We have working contacts with the Taliban, including at a fairly high level, we interact with them, firstly, on the issues of ensuring the security of our embassy, ​​our personnel. We interact with them on the export of Russian citizens ... Here, in everything The Taliban helped us in this. Moreover, at a fairly high level, including those who, as we understand, will be part of the state apparatus. Well, of course, I am not ready to name their names yet, nothing. Because the composition of the government has not yet been announced, " - said the ambassador.

At the same time, he stressed that such contacts do not constitute interference in the affairs of Afghanistan.

"We, of course ... in no way interfere in internal affairs," said a high-ranking Russian diplomat.

Also, Moscow does not intend to supply weapons to the new authorities of Afghanistan, Russian Ambassador to Kabul Dmitry Zhirnov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the Russian side said that Moscow could send humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
