OREANDA-NEWS. Health Minister of Russia Mikhail Murashko will hold a presentation of the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V at the United Nations. This was reported by TASS news agency, citing Fyodor Strzhizhovsky, press secretary of the Russian permanent mission to the UN. The presentation will take place online.

“On Wednesday at 9:30 am [14:30 UTC. – Ed.], an event “Sputnik V: a vaccine against COVID-19” with the participation of the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko, Russian Direct Investment Fund and Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, will take place on the sidelines of the 31st special session of the UN General Assembly,” Strzhizhovsky said.

Earlier, President of Russia Putin offered UN employees free vaccination against coronavirus during a video message at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly. The politician stressed that Moscow is ready to provide all the necessary qualified assistance, in particular, to provide free vaccine for voluntary vaccination of employees of the organization and its divisions.
