OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) filed a lawsuit against Booking.com travel fair aggregator. According to the agency, the company did not comply with the order to stop the practice of imposing price parity conditions on hotels located in the territory of the country.

The case was opened on December 27. According to FAS press release, Booking.com is accused of imposing the terms of an agreement on the necessity of compulsory provision of “parity of prices and rooms, as well as the conditions for interaction with closed groups of users.”

The agency emphasized that Booking.com “occupies a dominant position in the market”, and its actions may lead to “infringement on the interests of accommodation facilities, as well as to restriction and elimination of competition” in this sphere.
